iaedp™-Tucson is committed to excellence in training and professionalism in the treatment of eating disorders. To promote awareness and education of eating disorder professionals we offer three educational events each year. The culmination of of these efforts are celebrated with an Annual Gala, Sunday. TransFormations
is a one-actor theatrical performance conceived, written, and performed by Martie van der Voort, and directed by Tom Slauson. The time is now, the setting is The Gender Rebels support group, and you are the newest member. Through monologue, poetry and improvisation, you will meet and befriend these characters, and witness their stories, struggles and celebrations.
Martie van der Voort is a genderqueer actor, singer, writer, guitarist and therapist. Through her work at the University of Arizona and in private practice, she has specialized in the treatment of trauma resolution, body image issues and disordered eating, and LBG and trans clients.
